My ladies aren't enjoying the heat either. But it doesn't stop them from trying to go broody. I've been fighting them all summer

We just started our flock with 4 Buff Orpingtons and got our first egg on Friday from one of our ladies, and a second egg yesterday from another on. Hoping the other 2 ladies start laying soon.

It's morning here, and ours are lunchtime onwards layers, usually. Yesterday we had 7 eggs from 7 layers (4 NHRs and 3 Barbezieux).

That's a change from the 1 or 2 egs we had in the heat for the past few weeks. The chickens look healthier too! Cooled down some, here. there's a constant breeze now - still had no rain for weeks!
