Haven't replied in a while, but got one Welsummer egg today. I still have one naughty EE pullet laying on the floor, but two others, one Welsummer and one EE, have begun laying in nest boxes. I'm beginning to think the bad one is just a dumb blonde. She is completely clueless. And she is blonde...

My "2 every 3 days" layer should have laid an egg yesterday, but she didn't. She even sat in the nest for her usual 1-2 hours.

It's freaking cold out there. I don't blame any of them for not laying. We did get some sunshine yesterday, and it's sunny out now. Thus the cold temps, but I'll take it.

No, seriously. I wish most of mine only laid a few dozen a year honestly. Can't do anything with most of them so they just get fed back to them

What the heck are you doing with all these eggs my dear? You've collected 2 dozen this week and its only Wednesday!!!

Give a dozen to the neighbors every week. We eat probably 2 dozen a week ourselves. Guess who brings deviled eggs to every party?

Try it. I’m curious of this too. I use local feed from a Menonite supplier with high protein & amino acid %. Please let us know.
