Today I got 14 eggs because, I missed yesterday, I searously really did a little to much work yesterday. unloading feed and scratch …

I also made 5 gallon bucket of a starter batch my first Fermented food… for the flock 50% more after fermentation. I’ll keep a log.

I ferment 2 cups for my 12 hens. It grows quite a bit. I also have the same food (dry pellets) always available. Most days they eat all the ferment. The only time they don't is when it gets well below 0. I assume they don't want to get their beaks wet when its that cold.

After putting so much time and effort into caring for the hens, maintaining and cleaning the coop, run, feeders, waterers etc, do you ever stop and wonder if your girls realize how good they have it? Or is it just me? sometimes I feel like a mama hen
