Today I found 4 eggs in the hidden nest in the goat's dog house, then this afternoon I found 2 in the nest boxes and one more in the dog house. So I hit the jackpot today with 7

6 today. My Olive Egger was yelling and yelling for about 10 minutes so I went to see what her problem was. My Orpington was sitting in her favorite nest box, the nerve. The OE used to lay in the far corner of the coop in shavings, and I don’t want a repeat of that, so I picked up the sweet Orpington and let OE in her box. My sweet just waited until she was done, and went back in after. Oh, the drama. And of course there is an identical box right next to that one that they both ignored.

I got 6 officially yesterday. I was picking up poop and heard a funny scratching sound from inside the coop. Cheryl thought the oyster shell bag was a good place for a nest!

After taking a day off for the Sabbath, Laverne and Shirley gifted us with one egg each this morning.

5 out of 6 today. I gave Cheryl an empty pot to lay her egg in because she was frantically scratching in the corners. She usually uses the nest boxes like everyone else but boy she gets ideas!
