How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

I found 2 eggs....But only have 1 laying age hen....Weird....And yea I collected yesterday.

I left too early this morning to collect eggs, so DH did it when he got home from work, and we got SIX!!!! Goooo girls gooo!

one from 8 hens. I have one Cinnamon Queen that has been laying everyday for over a week now. No such luck from the others. I can't wait until the day I can say 8 out of 8. Congrats.

We got 2 today

The one on the left is from last Wed., the one in the middle and on the right are from today...

Well.....I sort of got an even dozen today! I purchased them from a local farmer at a lovely little farmer's market in a small town near me.

I get emails of news and new suppliers of plants, eggs, meat, vegetables, etc. from Local Harvest, an online marketing tool for farmers all across the country. So now I can further support local people raising our food. I got some mini cantaloupes, green beans, new potatoes, okra, a fried peach pie for breakfast, and a dozen beautiful eggs, including a lovely pale green egg from an Easter Egger. I've ordered two colored broilers for next week, too.

So even though I am still "peepless" I want you to know that I'm doing my part to support local poultry.
