39, and I'm pissed - we have 85 hens in that flock.

Are they getting ready to molt?

I got 5 from my 8 pullets today. Plus two soft ones that broke on the run floor and were eaten.

Seven hens seven eggs. I wonder if walking across the back with a hatchet in my hand had anything to do with it? Older birds eggs are getting larger.

No, they’ve been laying poorly off and on since I got them. Not sure what the problem is. The birds I had from the same dealer last year, on the same ration did much better.
