Eleven today from twelve gold comets 24-32 weeks old. Way to go, Girls!

We also added seven new 16 week old GC's today. We bought six but seven ended up in the crate and we didn't notice it until tonight when we were watching Chicken TV.

OK so any idea what happened here ?? I thought all of my girls had been laying. But then today we got this. Just for comparison the egg on the left is from my OEGB, the one on the right is from one of the other girls. But the one in the middle ..... could it be a first egg or do ya think it is a gasious escapement egg. It is very small like a gumball and almost totally round.

WTG everyone that got ALL the gals to lay!!

Our gals broke a new record today.... 10 eggs!!!

None of the EEs are laying yet. Or at least if they are, I haven't found the nest.

Both SLW look ready, but I'm not sure what their eggs would look like. One of my LB is looking ready, but again, I don't know what the eggs should look like. Other than brown layers, I've no idea the shade of brown, and haven't seen any of them in the nests yet.

The WR, and the NHR are what I've seen in the nests so far. I have 9 of those that are the oldest, and someone is laying a very pale cream colored egg. I'm wondering if it isn't one of the SLW, but not sure. The WR are laying such a wonderful dark brown egg! And someone is laying a brown egg with purple freckles! Guess they're getting enough calcium.

Can't wait to see what the EE's lay!!
