How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Just one. I think I’m down to just 2 that are laying. My olive egger that was laying hasn’t laid an egg all week. She still sits in the nest box for an hour or more a day but doesn’t actually leave an egg.

She's not trying to go broody is she? I have an EE lady who wants to be broody all winter.
But.... her sitting on any eggs she finds does keep them from freezing, so I kinda let her slide.

Got 6 again today. I feel blessed, they still are laying even though the weather is not the greatest.

She thinks she is broody until something better comes along. Here she s a clip of her abandoning her nest the second she hears the latch on the compartment where I keep the treats

Got another (3 so far) from our RIR and to our surprise, we got our first silkie egg

And seems while I was away last week one of my chickies started laying lovely pink eggs

And now Tippy is laying - another 1/2 polish youngster finally laying.
