3 today! Mei took her customary day off. I thought Août might also rest today because she hadn’t laid this morning, but she came through in the end, laying just before 2pm. 31 days and counting!

Juillet cracked her egg again. I’m going to buy some nesting pads for extra cushioning, because she likes to scratch all the nesting material out of the way and then drop it on the wooden floor.

There were 5 eggs earlier this morning, plus another this afternoon. Six for the day!

In my sig below I'm keeping a running count of all the eggs I get this year. Total is up to 12 so far....

9 eggs today I’m proud of my girls in this cold weather. I’ve always gave my hens a break in the winter by not using lights to help them lay more eggs and just let them relax all winter in the end it always pays off.

I have been giving Larry (the BR) a calcium in the evening now in hopes her eggs firm up to help her laying them.
