How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Five today, the 3 Rainbow Girls, Sheila the Black Australorp (her large black feather stuck to her beautiful big brown egg) and the brown with a pinkish tinge...wish I knew whose that is, she lays fairly regularly.

We've had 4.43" of rain today, glad the atmospheric river is supposed to move southeast of us by tomorrow. With the girls spending so much time under cover the past two days, it's pretty yucky in the coop & covered run so I need to do a major clean-out. Definitely a tall rubber boots proposition.

Ten today. Ladies are doing a great job. We had eggs for breakfast and they replenished our supply for tomorrow! Might have enough to share w the neighbor this week!

9 today. My sister and niece are visiting for the weekend and had the pleasure of collecting them. The ladies decided to show off and use 2 nesting boxes. Good thing that production has picked up so we have enough for them to take some home tomorrow.

The dark eggs are from feed store chicks that were marked only Marans pullets. I am assuming they are Midnight Majesty Marans from Hoovers. They are large birds, very friendly and have been laying very well. Eggs are mostly speckled and very large. Although not as dark as my BCM who are taking a break right now.

The tan egg is from one of my Silver Laced Wyandottes.
