New high today, 14 of 20! And I remembered to take a pic (we don’t wash til we use them, pardon the smudges!)

One lonely little egg, today. I don't think the girls have noticed the longer days, yet :/

3 today, Mei, Juin and Août again.

The girls snuck out of the run door as I was leaving after a quick visit, and off they went frolicking all over the yard. The pure joy they feel when they can run and flap their wings after days stuck inside is so heart-warming. I let them forage for half an hour even though the ground was about 80% puddles and mud. They had a good day!

P.S. You all have such lovely egg assortments! I dream of the day I get some blue and green egg layers…

6/10 today. Black OE is slowing down finally, but white OE is picking up the slack. EE is still the Champion. Brown layers are keeping up their end of the bargain.

3 today! Except I may only get to keep 2... I only found 2, until I brought Miss Rebecca inside to treat her injured eye. Annie must have laid an egg in her carrier, and now Rebecca has has claimed it as her own! She has never set before. She hasn't even laid in months. When I took it from her, she was so lost! She turned circles in the nest trying to find it. With her stress over the cockerel attacking her, I couldn't take the egg from her... Not tonight anyways. I'll let her sit and swap it out tomorrow.

It's a happy sound! I let mine out for an hour and a half before their bedtime and even scraped up some leaves and found them a few juicy worms.

oh I'm looking forward to that! It feels like a month they've been stuck in their pen! First a week of extreme cold & wind, then a week of heavy snow. Now constant downpours. Hang in their girls!

Ladies are still on strike, although they were having a union meeting when I went to put their automatic door back on today. Maybe tomorrow!
