Got 2 already today. I’m attempting to let Goldie out to free range and see if she’s over her broodiness. Jade is still spreading her wings over Goldie every chance she gets, so I’m keeping her separate for a couple more days.

All seven girls were generous today, giving me 7 eggs. One egg had what looked like either a small break from a peck, or maybe a claw hit it when a hen was rearranging the eggs to her liking.

Either way, it's cooked and ready to eat for my breakfast.

2 today, from Juin and Juillet, who had a sort of showdown over the favored corner of the nest box, which I had to intervene in. Juin was literally trying to squeeze herself underneath Juillet, who would then attempt to drag her back out from under her by the comb. I just booted Juillet out and all was well, as she had already laid her egg. The second she was out of the coop, she started singing her egg song, so I think she was fine with it
