Another 4 this evening for a total of 9 from our 12 ladies!

How long did it take? Our Lua has been broody for 2 weeks now. She makes the most awesome noises then I reach in the nesting box to pet her. Probably swearing at me in chicken language lol.

There were 9, and then I stumbled on the steps on the way back to the house and lost the whole basketful and gained 2 skinned knees.

I got 2 today but last month not sure when but I had gotten 2 the day before and to my surprise I got 3. I only have 2 laying hens.

She's been squawking for a couple weeks, since she saw the new chicks, so it was two weeks coming. She tried to sleep in the nesting box on plastic eggs for 3 nights, but I removed the eggs, then moved her to the roost every time. She was on the roost by herself last night.

If she's in the box during the day I remove her and put her on the roost.

I have two broody, my silkie was broody so I shoved a couple of chicks under her. No more babies though, I am at capacity, so my broodies right now are SOL.

The one has been broody now for goimg on 4 weeks, she sure is determined- I haul her fluffy butt off the nest twice a day to eat poop drink and dust bathe. Then she marches back to the nest hahaha.
