How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

5 from my 7 big girls any day now 2 of my pullets will start laying they now have bright red combs and wattles the other 2 have a ways to go their combs and wattles are still pale

2 today, from Juillet and Juin.

As expected Juillet had an egg to lay in the morning… I just didn’t expect her to lay it while I was treating her for bumblefoot! She has been very sweet and still while I soak her foot morning and night, but it’s crazy to me that she would put up with it when an egg was imminent. She held it in until soak time was up, and when I lifted her out of the bowl and onto the towel she immediately popped it out!

Eating hard boiled eggs as we speak during 12hr shift in the hospital.

5 eggs today. Scratch that. I ended up with 6 good eggs today.

we had a chicken that would somehow get in the rabbit hutch(with the rabbit in it) and lay one egg, eat all the rabbit food and then just stick with the rabbit.... she tried drinking out of the rabbit waterer I would take her out and every day she went back she stopped laying in there ever since I took the rabbit out of that hutch+=

6 eggs from 7 laying at the moment.

I have 9 mature hens: 2 broody, 7 laying.

Also have 12 pullets that are 14 weeks, not laying yet. And 4 pullets that are around 8 weeks old, also not laying yet.

One of the eggs I got today was larger than normal. The middle one pictured is a fake egg that I use to get them to not only use one of their boxes. The one on the bottom of the screen is the big one and the one on the top is a normal one.

It was nice outside all day, and though I didn’t manage to do a bit of gardening, I did take the girls out foraging for 2 hours, and the little chicks out for 1 hour. I figured they should get to enjoy the nice weather as much as possible. There was much dust-bathing to be had!
