9? How many chickens do you have?9 eggs today, I went fro getting mostly blue eggs back in the Spring to now getting mostly brown eggs. The other girls are moulting so won’t get blue eggs for a while.,..
Well now - that’s a question that until a few days ago I didn’t really know for sure.9? How many chickens do you have?
The days are short, and it's cold.
Frozen eggs will be cracked. My chicks were born on the 24th of June. They started laying on December 1st.
They've given me one perfect egg a day every morning since then.
We're getting a little less than 9 hours of daylight a day, so I'm pretty impressed.
One was laid late today. How can you tell if they're frozen? Are frozen eggs safe to use?
Swoooooon. I long for the day I can have a nice little piece of land and have all the breeds I want with the option of free ranging.Well now - that’s a question that until a few days ago I didn’t really know for sure.
But a beak count was staggering to me.
47!
But….. I have a large number of ladies who are elderly and don’t lay anymore, or at best for a few weeks in the Spring. Also have 5 Roos (2 are being re-homed).
I have 10 new pullets from this year. And along with a few other hens I am getting about 10-ish eggs a day.
