7 eggs and three baby chickies? Or just the eggs…? You know I live vicariously through those of you with babies right?

Oh I wish we had chicks! Just the eggs. The rest is just window dressing.

I'm already thinking about spring and possibly getting two cream legbars and maybe a couple more Easter eggers.

Six again today. But some are obvi pullet eggs and different from what I've been getting. Two light olive eggs!

As of today, day seven, we so far have 9 eggs. Current costs per egg estimated at $167.00. Given the start up cost and recurring expenses we calculate a break even, or possibly a savings, in about 45 years.
