How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

So far earlier this morning before work, I found a lovely warm blue egg, likely Twisters. Thanks kiddo!

2 ducks, 1 chicken egg..yay. Surprised that the ducks have reduced their production, but still grateful for what they provide.

8 yesterday not sure what the total will be today but 8 so far...

Tilly, my little Copper Maran who was a runt when we got her (the name Tilly is the name of the engine from The Little Engine That Could <3) laid her first egg today

She was honking away in there, taking her time, figuring out which nest she wanted. She never made a mess like her sister Sophia. So proud of her!!

I guess so long they are healthy then it does not matter no egg, I guess you are in winter season, hence that the reason they don't lay.
You could try to feed them a bit of can sardine see how that goes. I used to give my chickens a bit of can/tin sardine here and there, their eggs got really big so I stopped.

3 eggs yesterday. That is more than we eat in a day so I am happy.

My Wyandottes are very poor layer, constantly broody, then molt and then broody. And their eggs are on a small scale. They go broody around 3 times around and it takes a few weeks to get them off broodiness.

3 eggs today! Juin, Août and little Helmikuu



Helmi’s is the little pink egg, so cute! I watched her lay it, as did the entire rest of the flock who came in either out of curiosity (my other pullets), support (Juillet, the ever-attentive leader), or impatience at needing the nestbox (Août). Juin was there likely just so she could snuggle in my lap.

Here’s our cute new layer, with her big red comb and wattles! Isn’t she lovely?
