Eat all of those?Two today
I'm getting ready to scramble them with the one I got yesterday. I'll top them with salsa.Eat all of those?
Congratulations! I love the colouring on those Wyandottes - beautiful.I got 1 egg today from my gold laced Wyandotte! She is just over 7 months old
She started laying on Sunday the 22nd of December
Do you like egg nog? Might could google a recipe for it, that could use some up right quick (of those store eggs). Or an angel food cake, that'll do it! Oh wait, maybe both. I think the cake takes whites and the nog needs yolks. Like a dozen of each.Well, here we are at 14 days since our very first egg was gifted to us and we now have been gifted a total of 22 ( with 23 being laid now - I believe) as of this morning with every one being perfect so far. We have yet to eat any yet though, still working through the store bought backlog.
Do they have oyster shell always available? Mine do but when my pullets started laying I was getting "jelly" eggs for a while. On the advice of some of the Educators here I stuffed some Calcium Citrate +D3 (Citracal) tablets down a few beaks for a few nights, got them fixed right up! The pills look big but just pop one in their beak and they'll swallow it right down. Someone pointed out that they can swallow a mouse whole so it's no problem. Also if you put the pill in water, they have to drink a whole lot of water to get the proper dose of a pill.Banty Jade for the win! The big girls haven’t been laying much at all lately, and when they do, it’s either soft shelled or thin shelled.
Well at least you're consistent!Zero again.
