Combined total of 818 eggs from my flock this year! Good job girlies!

No eggs to end the year. But, I got a tarp over the coop to help keep the leaks down in the rain and provide a little more protection at night from the colder temps. Also I rigged a swing in the yard. Not much action yet, but when I put one of the Banty hens on it, she stayed there for a few minutes, so maybe they’ll get the hang of it

The end of 2024 had my ladies taking the day off. Just 3 eggs came in the house. Another 2 were given back to them. It appeared an egg broke in a nest and made a mess on the 2 returned eggs. I will say that means at least 6 were laid so not horrible really.

I do enjoy seeing the grand tally posts some are making. I think that would be fun to do this year myself.

I have had a rescue chicken for two weeks. Found two frozen eggs today. Our first eggs and first time with chickens!

I had no egg today, but one yesterday, I got a hen from 2024 as a Christmas gift she is the only one supplying eggs right now , my other hens are from 2020, 2019,2018 and 2013 and still not ready to produce eggs right now
