How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

In summer here I have fans going full blast, it gets very hot and humid here.

I make sure the nest boxes are in a good breeze, and at night I have a few going in the hen house.

Even my horses have fans in their stalls.
Your horses and chickens are so lucky having fans on hot day.
Some of my chickens prefer to sleep on the top of their coop, the coop is inside a metal wired enclosure.
I have the coop wide open during the day with all windows as well, but it is so hot and their feather is so big and thick.

a record breaking 15 yesterday!!

Harriet did not lay and Dorothy isn't laying yet -- though I caught her trying to sit in nests yesterday. She is 30 weeks old so getting there! Her wattles/comb are nicely reddened up but no squatting. She's *very* skitty so I doubt I'll ever see her do it. She also stays MILES away from Chuck lol

I feel bad for my cream legbar Penelope, who seems to have weak legs. Chuck seems to love her and when he gets off her she has a hard time standing for a minute, she limps and waddles. I am extra glad we picked our smallest Cockerel.

She fluffs her feathers though and lifts her tail, she deffo likes him back 🤣 but yeah its hard on her.

When the time comes I won't be hatching any of her eggs, don't want weak leg chickens. It's too bad too because she's our mildest and calmest girl.
