Yes we are in a Level 4 of 5 warning for tornadoes and high flood warning alerts from now till Sunday. Likely won't make it to church Sabbath (Saturday). Expecting up to 10 inches of rain from this afternoon to Sunday. Will be sure chickens can get out to take shelter under carport. Oh, very strong damaging winds and very large hail also in the forecast. It's already windy. Temps into the 80's. Y'all be safe out there!

ETA: 15 from 15 EEs. It's stopped raining now, but it was raining earlier today, so I put a towel inside the bucket, and covered them with a towel, too. I hope I saved the bloom or cuticle.

Will do. Well, actually, what I'll do is keep posting my egg count daily, so you'll know all is well. We live kind of on a ridge, on high ground, so we should be okay. Tornadoes seem to go around us, so we'll hope for that, God willing, and we have a good stout basement and a very solid house. Relatives come here if it gets scary, so.

Hi yall I've been busy!

13 yesterday, which is basically our max now as we lost 2 girls and have 1 broody

One day last week we had only 8 :O I had to google the averages for my breeds to see if that still was within normal range. It was. 6-13 for my breeds in their prime. Lordy!
