How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

We will mix one calcium tablet into an egg and cook it in the microwave, then feed it to her and see if that helps. This is her first soft egg and I hope it doesn’t become a regular thing. I think she just hasn’t been eating enough shells.

I’m sorry your girl is having so much trouble. My Août had an awful time with soft eggs last year due to stress, but she molted and stopped laying for a few months, and she hasn’t had another soft egg since she started up again. It’s sad to see them struggling to lay them :(
It is hard to see the little hen struggling with egg laying.
My little Isa Brown Basil laid a normal eggshell yesterday so I am so graceful for that. I will keep a close eyes on her.

As you mention stress, I remember she does has some stress on her, I have removed that. Let hope all go well after this.

22 eggs today, and none in the hiding spot I found the 9 blue eggs in yesterday.

One of the eggs I found in the doorway of Reenie's stall, and I just bet one of the hens tried to get into her hay net again and laid an egg on top of the net. The egg then dropped onto the straw and bounced or was rolled to its resting spot - thank goodness for straw bedding in the horse stalls! Silly chooks.

Everyone have a lovely evening/night/day.

REDEMTION! 4 for 4 but yes, DW dropped one on the way in. I was thinking of holding up the shell like Sgt Emery with the donut in Full Metal Jackett, but wisdom prevailed!
Maybe she should wear an apron with a pocket, or carry a bowl or basket or something so she doesn't drop any. So sad that she drops an egg almost every day!

14 today. I was able to hobble outside today, with my DH close by (I don't want to fall!), I gathered eggs and took pics of my week-old chicks. I'm betting the black one is a cockerel. He just has that vibe, y'know?

@BigBlueHen53 I want to say that black one is a sassy hen. I know this isn’t egg related but I’m so curious now!
