A whole dozen today! All ducks laid again (7), and just about all my chickens laid (5).

Found a hidden nest in the hazelnut again.
Seems when we get low count they have done that again.
So 14 all fine just a few days old.

3 eggs today, from Helmi, Marzo and Juillet

Helmi had stridor (a piece of food stuck in her throat that caused alarmingly loud wheezing) this morning. She’s fine now, it resolved on its own, but boy did it freak my husband and I out!

So pretty! Is that a grey agg at top in the twelve o'clock position? What breed lays that color? So pretty and unusual!

4 eggs today, from Juillet, Août, Helmi and Marzo

Marzo’s egg was soft again, and we’ve discovered a pattern. Attempt to clean Marzo’s fluffy butt feathers = soft egg the next day. It must really stress her out. Not sure what to do about it though, she needs to be cleaned!

Have you trimmed her bottom fluff so there's nothing for the poop to stick to? And maybe try giving her some Greek yogurt to see if that helps her digestion?

I haven’t yet trimmed the feathers, but when I get the chance I will. Thanks for the advice! I just switched them from dry grain to fermented feed, and I’m hoping that helps a bit.
