I’m curious to know if I’m having a problem. My first 6 hens started laying on July 3rd at exactly 20 weeks. However the eggs appear to be small. It’s there a problem or is it because they just begin laying? I started them on Lonestar 20% layer feed and I have been adding 10% of the Lonestar chicken scratch in with the layer feed as I feed them each time as the instructions call for.. Please let me know if I’m doing anything wrong are is this their starting process. Thanks everyone for the help.16 hens and 16 eggs, a first from my girls. Completely normal. New layers have smaller eggs and it can take awhile for them to get bigger.I’m curious to know if I’m having a problem.
