6 eggs yesterday. Spring is here and all the hens have returned to egg laying.
Some have blood stain on the eggshells, they have not lay egg for half a year and my Silver laced Wyandotte has not lay any egg for over 9 months, she is back laying her 1st egg after a long absent period. I did ask her what took her so long? She says molting, resting, then winter, ......huh....as far as I am concern that is a lot of excuses

It’s coming up the Autumn here, not that one would know it. Still scorching hot.
Today I got 21 eggs - though I am sure 5 of them were hidden under the nest box from Sunday when I last checked there. I have 3 broodies here - 2 are co- brooding 4 Noirans (Marans hybrids), and one is sitting on 6 eggs.
Don’t need more babies, but these three are just hard core broodies.
