2 eggs today, from Marzo and Ebrel

I found a few Ebrel neck feathers in the coop, so I think she’s going to be molting any time now.

I got 3! The Nuzzler laid a pretty green egg. My beautiful Nuzzernuz.

Edit: I just noticed the table lamp made the egg and everything else look greener but the photo with the eggs together was taken outside and is more like it...

10. I'm sure it will decrease further. I just discovered my flock has been struck by dry fowl pox. Poor darlings.

Gorgeous eggs what breeds laid the top (darkest) eggs?

The darkest are my wheaten marans. I have two. And finally got two in one day the other day! The second darkest I think is one of my barnevelders, possibly? Because my black marans lays the dark speckled. But it is hard to catch them laying for a definitive who lays what. My brown layers are wheaten marans (2), black marans (1), barnevelders (2), RIR (1), Plymouth Rock (1), NHR (2). Here are the last few days

I love them! I really want to add dark brown/dark brown speckled to my flock so I’ll add those to the list

In total 7 but 1 was a fairy egg. It was laid by either Miss or Mohawk.

My birds just started laying the passed few days. Mainly all first eggs age of lay. My older birds, 1 started laying today.. summer heats finally broke.. they been on strike since spring. Who knows if and when My bcm will lay any... they are on the chopping block this year in they dont lay any in fall... they didn't do well in spring at all..

My older generation I bought used from a breeder lady.. I think she dooped me on their age.
