How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

I hope they all get better.

Thank you, I have been hitting this hard, as soon as I see anyone sniffling/coughing I dose them with Tylosin.

And now my broodies are starting to get back laying, I found 2 additional eggs yesterday from my one silkie, and OEGB bantam. This morning one of my other silkies (who hasn’t laid an egg since spring) laid a lovely egg.

One inaugural egg.

I would frame it, but apparently we’re going to eat it. 😢

Hope your flock gets better soon @Ponypoor. I struggle to treat my two bumblefooted hens, so I’m sure it’s rough treating your big flock. Glad your broody girls are starting to lay again!

from the top left and clockwise

-Silkie egg, Holly, from yesterday
-OEGB bantam egg from yesterday, Mrs Little Chicken, so far she has never gone broody….
-Silkie Holly, she has started back laying last week since being broody
-Silkie egg from Fluffy, first egg since Spring
-Barnyard Mutt Whiskers, first egg since she went broody and hatched (silkie) eggs, her chicks are about 6 weeks I would say. She lays these lovely blue green eggs.

Bumblefoot is a pain in the butt for sure. After having horses for 40 odd years I am well versed in treating most things. But it’s been a learning curve with the chooks these past 4 years!

A 3 egg day!
First Nuz, then Red, then after lots of trilling and growling, Dove.
I heard her out there fussing for a long time with all that noise and finally went in to see if she was OK and she laid it then.
