I got 3 yesterday and 2 today. I have been busy and The Nuzzler had an issue but she is back on track now.
Hopefully Scaley lays one day and I will be able to have 4 eggs in a day. I don't see it happening any time soon, she is 6 months and just having that mini molt and blushing occasionally, finally a bump of a pale comb after all this time. Looking kinda androgynous. How could this be? What a weird bird Scaley is. I will just have to wait and see.
I have been marking the egg info on a calendar so I don't lose track.
Keeping up with this thread is a lot of fun but not easy for me to do. Lol
What breed is Scaley? Many breeds take a long time to mature and with the shorter daylight hrs, coming into winter she may wait until Spring to lay.
I do not expect my Noirans to start laying until Spring; they are 12 weeks now and by the time they get around 22 weeks old, it will winter here.
6 eggs today - almost everyone is moulting, one still broody. My profile pic is her not too long ago.
IDK what she is. Weighs 2.94lbs today. Looks like an Ameraucana mix with muffs and a small beard. I thought she was maybe a sister to Dove as they were in the same cage with an "Americana" label and about the same size on May 21st when I bought them. She is thin and sporty and looking all kinds of androgynous now. 2 different color eyes: right eye has a dark ring around the pupil and the left is a red brown or dark orange. My favorite bird. What breed is Scaley? Many breeds take a long time to mature and with the shorter daylight hrs, coming into winter she may wait until Spring to lay.

I included a photo of Dove who I thought might be her sister. Maybe not.
Edit: Her face looked a little like your profile pic bird to me and I even looked at your posts to see if there were more photos of that one. So cute!
Edit again: IDK how to fix the double quote. Sorry that my reply is so long now.
I adore her. Thank you for showing me what she looks like now. Both are beautifulYou have a lovely couple of youngsters there.
The chook in my profile photo is Dorothy as a chicklet.
Here she is now, sampling my chocolate cake I dropped - FYI they didnāt like the chocolate cake.
