How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

9 from my crew today what a gift that was.

Only one today, apparently the silkie is the only one who loves me. Also seasonal changes and one is going through molting right now.

I came home from work yesterday to find The Nuzzler looking miserable. I didn't even have the time to post here.

She laid that fine egg on Monday but after that when I was spot cleaning the coop I discovered a soft shell from her she must have laid that morning or Sunday night? She was fine Monday, pecking my hand, even jumping on my lap for a treat.

Well, I wasted no time yesterday gave her a calcium/D pill and brought her in to the crate where she laid 2 soft shell eggs in a row and felt better immediatly after the second one. That bird laid 4 eggs in 2 days!

Looks like I will get a reliable Red's egg and maybe a Dove egg today. IDK what to think if Nuz lays another... Poor baby.

You might consider giving her the calcium/D for a few days. Poor girl!

Her and Dove are scaring me with this shenanigans. I am new to chickens and they are both so young. Dove actually seems to be slowing down but when there is no egg I keep thinking she may be sick or get egg bound. I wish I could tell before someone just puffs up with a tail down. Dove will go off laying or have a soft shell here and there but seems to feel fine.
Nuz is good until she is suddenly in pain and starts dispensing a bunch of half done eggs.
Red goes off without a hitch and lays a perfect egg almost every day like it is NBD. Scaley might be a very late blooming combless weird cockerel that loves the nest box and oyster shell. Those feathers are just not right...
I have one normal pullet... Red. Lol
Eggs or not, I just want them to be OK.

I just went through this with her and now it is happening again, I did antibiotics and the calcium/D pills.

I am not sure if it helps but I will do the calcium course again so at least she can get them out. When she doesn't get all these eggs in a row, she has the thickest, hardest shells. She must be ovulating like crazy or something. I hope she is OK and is just having a rough pullet start because I love my Waka Waka Nuz. She is so funny, sweet, and cute.
