16 today! They are ramping up again. But o still have a few moulting and some finishing moulting. Also Flopsy my Azure Blue has had crop stasis since first week of Dec treated with an anti fungal drained a couple times with a gastric tube. We will see how she manages but I am not feeling overly confident with her.

I got 7, out of 8 laying hens. Very pleased, I have once again too many eggs! :celebrate
7 of the hens are hatched this spring, they started laying... and then they all stopped for a couple of months. (they changed coops, and moved flocks so it's understandable, but ALL of them at the same time? Come on!)

But they're all happy hens again now, and we're back to daily egg-shower.

I’m sorry to hear about Flopsy. I hope she gets better. There are so many causes for crop stasis that it’s hard to know how to treat it. I found that giving my hen digestive enzymes and papaya helped a lot, but basically she got better on her own so long as we treated the infections she developed along the way and did our best to keep things moving. I have a pretty long thread in the emergency forums where I talk through what we did for our hen, here is the link if you want to read it.

Thanks! I’ll check it out, meanwhile Flopsy has did an about face and started eating yesterday afternoon/evening!

This morning she tucked into layer pellets, warm mash and a cabbage I had put down for the kiddos.

I just came back out and put her out for a few minutes with my silkies and Mr P and she tucked into more mash.

These chooks are giving me grey hair!
