How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

15 hens... 4 eggs

but i just spend 35$ on feed and DE at the feed store...

$35 at feed store = 4 eggs

haven't checked for this afternoon (still at work)....

but for last couple weeks has been 5 out of 6 a day, like clockwork...2 in the morning, and 3 in afternoon when I get home....creatures of habit....LOL

there was a day or two together when it was 6 for 6, but there was always a soft shell in the mix....kinda like jello....VERY WIERD....and in an odd location....(out in run, under roost, or in pop door)....

I keep a small calender in the coop so I can track which box, and how many eggs daily....I know a little OCD....but it helps me figure out my OWN reality...LOL....

by that math my coop will be paid off in 3010....LOL....

I can tell the days are getting shorter...
With the cold snap this week, I dropped from 10 eggs from 12 chickens to two yesterday.

I haven't collected today, but that last three days have been 3 eggs from 3 chickens. I keep expecting them to slow down, but they are still going strong.

Production slow today.... so far 4 eggs from 7 hens. They usually pick up when I threaten them.

Today I told them the Cornell (KFC) was coming for a visit.

I received 1 egg yesterday from 5 hens that was my first eggs from the girls so excited that they are starting to lay. Now they are paying for them selfs.

3 eggs out of 5 hens. Maybe I should say 4 eggs since one of them popped out one while in the yard and when the neighbors cat scared them. It was not ready to be layed at all!!! not even a shell strong enough to hold on to. Yuck!
