I got 4 eggs from 16 pullets but they are just starting to lay so I'm happy and expect production will increase soon. Go Girls!!

I only have 6 hens and they only just began laying in September, but I keep a chart and write down which nest the egg was in, the size of the egg ( tiny-sm-md-lg) and what color it is. It's really interesting to look back on -for the whole month of October for instance, they only used one nest 6 times while using the other nest 28 times- definitely a favorite. I think I am as addicted to eggs as I am to chickens

Today so far- 2/6 make that 3/6- just looked again

i had 2 first timers today! both the salmon fav sisters i got from a BYCer in May as 2 week old chicks!! YIPPIEEEE!!!

it was so awesome to see the 3rd egg in the nest box this afternoon. got into the house and checked my other fav who's been recovering from an eye picking incidence for the last month and there was this little cream egg sitting beside her!!!
