9 eggs today! All but three of the girls laid. I think the girls realize that it's time to fire up the bators!

18/29 from the established layers and 4/26 from the new girls.. First time they layed.

Ours are giving us a dozen a day now, up from a low of three. We have five new-to-us Silkies and 15 assorted standard hens, many are older "rescue" girls, and I'm amazed that we receive so many large lovely eggs from them. It's as if they are saying, "Thank you for taking us in." ~G
