18 today, boy they keep getting better everyday. I quit putting how many are possible layers because I havn't had the chance to see just which ones are actually laying out of around 35 elgible hens.

5 out of 5 partridge rock hens. Love my girls. They just started laying, I got my first egg on Thanksgiving day 2009, and they just keep getting better and better. Even when it was 20 degrees for a week straight they never stopped laying and I was scared they were going to.

Well I have 13 chickens of the female persuasion ... 4 are 3 yrs old, 2 are right about a year old and the rest are pullets just a month or two under that age. So ... as they are all of egg laying age I will claim 13 possible layers. However, so far I have only gotten eggs from my 5 EE's, which by the way are the youngest of them all. I am eagerly watching the girls faces and wattles getting redder and anxiously scouring the run and coop for hiding places ... any day now, right?!?
