I got 2 eggs! One was a first egg for Ketchup the RIR, and one was a third egg for Heddie the Barred Rock! Woo hoo!

I didn't post yesterday but we got 22 nice sized brown eggs plus 3 bantam-sized. I'm surprised they're even laying in this heat. It's been miserable here in central NC for the past two weeks. We've had 18 days now according to the Weather Guy on the local station with temps over 90 degrees. We're supposed to get a break this afternoon with a cool front coming thru and lowering the temps back down into the mid to low 80's. It supposed to last thru the weekend. It will be a welcomed change, believe me.
