6/21!!! At least 2 new layers today! One egg was just huge for a pullet egg (2.4oz) Can't wait to see what the girls give us tomorrow. Oh, and we also cracked open 4 eggs this morning and 2 of them were double yokers

One BIG one. Our girls are new to laying and all of our eggs have been small until now that is. I wonder who it was...

21/26 started 2 weeks ago and numbers keep getting better!!

Got 4 yesterday and a soft shelled one was laid from the roost over night. It seems the first one is sometimes over night and soft. We'll see what today brings.

25 yesterday from our 30 GC's! We've been getting a little rain in the past couple of days so things haven't been quite as hot with temps around 85 F in the afternoons. Nice break from this miserable summer we've been having. I'm ready for fall. Hopefully it will be a long cool one right up to December 21st. I've got my garden just about ready for fall planting which we hope to start in earnest by September 1st.

Came in from my PT session at 1pm and found 4 eggs already...what a surprise! Normally there are 2 in the am and 2 later in the pm. Have 18 eggs in the frig!

Another of the sex link has begun to lay! Lucille squatted today for my DH and she was in and out of the nest boxes this morning. But Maureen has been squatting for awhile and she has also been in and out of the nest boxes...hoping I can figure out who is the new layer.
