We got our first egg today...and the second too!!!!!

25 yesterday, and 25 today from our 30 GC's!!! I've got eggs coming out of my ears!!! We've had a bit of a cool down here in Central NC over the past few days. We've had some rain in the PM almost every day for the past week or so. Makes it humid but at least it cools it down from the 90's down to the low 80's or less. I'm so looking forward to fall and cooler temps.

3 eggs from 8 hens...but it's the first day we ever got that many in one day!!! Yeah!!! :O)

I've only gotten one per day the past two days, but today was a different color of egg, so it looks like I've got 4/6 laying now. Hopefully it's just the hot weather slowing them down a bit. We're getting used to the idea of hard-boiled eggs for snacks at work, and omlettes for dinner, so these girls better get back to work!
