But they are getting bigger so I have more to put in the 'to sell' carton

Right now I have 6 1/2 dozen ready to sell Thursday...by then I MIGHT have 8 dozen to sell WOW!

My girls are just getting to the laying age and I got 26 eggs from 84 pullets/hens. I can't wait until they all get rolling!

3 out of 3 they are all laying. Finally!! Such good girls I havee

1 egg from the pyncheon who lays every other day. Zilch from the banty cochin who seems to have stopped for winter, and nada from my 2 sussex freeloaders who have yet to lay.

(14 are 24 weeks old, 2 are 18 weeks)

I got ZERO eggs yesterday out of 9 hens!

5/7 The two barred rocs where busy playing around in the yard (and forgot)? But the two Black Astrolorps sp? and Light Brahmas are putting out Jumbos and my little buff orp. is like clockwork first thing in the morning! I think it's because she's such a bugger that all the protein cranks them out of her.
