Yesterday I got 4 from 4 layers

3/3 8 days in a row so far today out of 8 pullets! hmmm wondering if yesterdays soft dudd egg was another newbie starting up and one of the other ladies took a day off? Sure hope so!

Wow, I love my chickens. What just happened: I heard a loud cumotion going on down in the chicken coop, so I ran down there with the egg basket in hand. I open the door to the nesting boxes and there is nothing there, I think hummmmm. Then I hear flapping from the lower level of the coop and up comes my barred rock Iko. What was she doing down there? So I go and look down there and I see FOUR eggs in the corner. One was still warm. Wow, I love my chickens. lol

I got 7 eggs again out of 9 hens but the day is still young! My maran has not laid yet and she is in the nest box. One other has not laid yet either, so I may get 8 out of 9 or 9 out of 9 !

We had our first three egg day yesterday! Two pretty little brown eggs and our first white egg from a 17 week old Leghorn. Still only three birds laying, and not one egg today. We have 3 18 week old ISA's started laying last week.
