How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

No eggs to be had from neighbors. I have found that most store eggs give me HORRIFIC stomach pain.
The ones from Vital Farms do not cause issues so they are the ONLY ones I will buy from the store.
Not talking gas but actual real pain through the entire digestive system. I do have 36 duck eggs so that will hold me for quite a while. Hubs however doesn't like them fried so it's store eggs for him til my girls get rolling again. Winter solstice is getting closer which should see my new girls reaching laying age.

I don't get stomach cramps from store bought eggs, they just taste watery with a fishy aftertaste to me, but i also ate sawdust once and experienced nothing unusual…
Still haven't found the "Fast Forward to March" button! Just two more months before things will improve again. Winter is not my season! The ducks don't like it either…

They just get their 16% chow and peas for treats. I don't think its protein. I think I have a genetic issue. They are half runner and not large ducks. I was breeding my prolific egg layers to prolific egg layers. They are all young layers so maybe they will work it out before they prolapse their vents. My goal was a regular egg a day not 3 yolker dino eggs. Sigh! I do have a new drake to dial things back. This is the first generation I've gotten dino eggs.

What if you feed them more sunflower seeds (BOSS) - somewhere i read that BOSS can reduce the egg production.

Six eggs today! Nine yesterday and eight the two days before that. A few of the barred rocks have started - I had been getting three to five until about a week ago.

One single Marans is still laying almost a torpedo per day, and a few wyandottes are laying pretty pinky peach eggs, some with white speckles.
