How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Looks like three eggs again today. The gift drake which appears to be a Cayuga runner mix moves his girlfriend blue's egg to the middle of the coop after she lays @ 6:20 every morning!

Fifteen. Six blue(ish), 7 brown, 1 chocolate,* 1 white. Out of 23 possible layers. Felt bottoms tonight, two older girls def not laying, two others are broody. That means four in lay did not lay today. Not bad. I am giving eggs away to the Bread Shed bc I have no customers, so can't complain I don't have enough eggs!.

* on a good day I get 3 chocolate: 2 Black Copper Marans, 1 Blue Copper Marans. I had 2 blues, but a dog got the other one.

Four!
So it appears that the broodier of the fawn/white is laying green eggs and one of the other fawn/white is joining in. The new drake mix moved the other tan egg to be with one of the other green egg in the center of the coop. Wonder if he's also pairing up the other hen's eggs?

Ours have slowed down to 8 or 9 a day. I was up to 4 broody's at one time but now down to the original two.
