How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

5 so far, will probably get two more. I have a molter feathers everywhere. At first I thought I had a raccoon.

That is a bad time for a molt! - How are the temperatures at your place?

Despite the frost and the strong winds my ducks laid 12 eggs today. Sadly two of them were already frozen and cracked when i collected them.

It has not even been freezing here yet but it has been close. It was 33 the other morning and as soon as I let all of them out the ducks immediately got in the stock pond...lol. Since last Tuesday (they laid there first 3 that day) morning the ducks have only laid 2 eggs every morning. We finally ate some yesterday for breakfast. It's been almost 40 years since I ate a duck egg and it tasted just like I had remembered.

My ducks are on strike none since the one I broke in my pocket. We had 10 yesterday morning high of 19,13 this morning and 30 today they are spending a lot of time eating and laying down, on the job too! Hope everyone had a great Christmas!
