I'm so proud of my girls! Out of eight laying hens... drumroll please.... eight eggs!!! We thought that our EE had stopped laying her beautiful blue eggs, but she started laying this week! We also have three non-laying sweet chickens. One is turning nine years old this March! Also, yesterday my silver leghorn Buttercup laid a pretty white egg right into my hand! I was just trying to feed her some sunflower seeds!

Two girls, two eggs. One always lays white eggs, the other always lays blue.

Oddly enough both of my Ancona females are chocolate and were hatched from blue eggs, while my black and white males all came from white eggs.
