Wow! Mine are always on the lookout for ant and wasp-nests. But we have no fire-ants here, just those gentle black fat and juicy native ants.

I got twenty-four eggs today! Two Dino-eggs for us and four bantam-eggs also for us. But eighteen nice, smooth and round duck eggs for sale. Almost at capacity with 28 girls.

Wow! Mine are always on the lookout for ant and wasp-nests. But we have no fire-ants here, just those gentle black fat and juicy native ants.

I think the ants in the duck pen area are not fire ants. Twice I have used some poison made for fire ants with little effect. What I used last night was different and really killed them Along with a June Bug (a month after record cold and frozen precipitation where the hell did a Junebug come from ?) and a couple small earthworms.

3 was the total today. I did not do much with the ducks today. More garden prep, flower bed prep, burning the branches in my front fire pit, burning brush in my back fire pit, burning leaves that the wife had raked up And other things today. I got my pyro fix today. Of course, while supervising the fires, it’s time for a beer. Also worked on the riding mower so my wife could destroy blades........I mean mow the back yard.

My wife wants to have a ride-on mower so bad, but in Houston that would have been overkill and here the mower would need a roll-cage and a strap-in harness…
We let the duckies take care of the grass.
