I'm not shocked by how well they bury things. Mine make huge holes in the yard and I about break my ankle if I'm not paying attention.

I looked all through the hidden areas of the round bale, but the 3 girls could be literally laying anywhere and hiding them? That's not fair!
I got 26 eggs from 7 nests today from the chicken coop. I put 15 green eggs under the meanest BCM pullet that thinks she's sitting today. We'll see if she is now that she has a hassle of eggs under her! She'd squeeze her legs together when I was trying to get eggs out from under her and peck hard enough to bring blood. Also separated out the 2 oldtimer broodies with their little Guinea eggs, 6 & 14, put them into isolation/private pens for their sitting. I'll do the same for Miss Meany~Pants if she sticks with the eggs.
