No. However, I change their wood shaving every morning by adding more on the boxes, so they can be buried. Noticed that the ones laid where they sleep are a bit dirty than the ones from boxes.

Most of the time my ducks other than the Muscovy lay where there isn't any fresh poop. My Muscovy lay right where they poop evidentially.

Morning ! FortCluck it seems that you have a good hatching rate there.I’m curious if you helped with hatching as I had too my Welsh..Otherwise, we are back to 7 eggs but one does not pass the « quality control « being misshaped

I haven't really helped so far I did take the hat off a few so they could get out.

Me too I don't know which to choose. It's going to be the hardest decision ever.

The Swedish will be medium birds for meat and eggs ( i found mine to be big not really medium ).I kept a splash and a common black with white bib. The ones that have white bibs as ducklings , became all black once grownup. The one that I kept had black and yellow bib. My only regret is that I gave away the silver drake..but I want to keep a clean Welsh and KC line, so I kept those drakes.

So we have a 60% hatch rate with the ducklings. We are still waiting for 8 to hatch. There are 13 so far.
