How many hatched total? I lost count lol

21 hatched out. Little backward pipped duckling hatched out and ended up to be a nice and strong duckling after it got over the hump and got some b complex into him.

I kept the ones I really liked color wise to keep. I did try vent sexing. I think I have more girls than boys. But I am not an expert on it. So we shall see in a few weeks. I kept 2 snowy, 2 blues, black bib and the one that has the odd silver coating to its feathers plus three welshie females.

not any, 4 outta 8 hens are broody and they of course, decided to brood where everyone wants to lay, the others don't wanna go lay in the boxes 4laying boxes, heaven help me if all 8 go broody

Haha I tried that. No one wanted to be photogenic. Best photos I got was during bath time and they were in two different groups. I almost pulled out my hair for the first group shot I got on day one.

It can be quite the circus with so many broodies. I know that for a fact I mark all eggs under an broody so I can take out any new ones being added daily. And of course everyone wants to lay in the same nest box.
