1 again today! The layer is still a mystery. My reasons for thinking it might be 1 of my two new Rouens are: 1) They are the youngest and have historically been good layers per their previous owners. 2) The eggs have been found in “Rouen territory”. 3) The eggs have almost the same color as my Muscovy’s eggs (although slightly less tan), but the shape is wrong. 4) My Muscovies have waited until April to lay for the past two years.

On the other hand, I did get a small “chirpCHIRP!” from one of my Muscovies (I didn’t see which one). They tend to only chirp during laying season...
