5 dozen today for $3.00/dz. We came back home from being gone for a long weekend and we had 9 dozen eggs in the fridge that our friend's little girl collected for us when they came over to chicken sit. I've been kidding people right before they hand me the money that because of the salmonella outbreak the price of eggs was now $5.00/dz. Then before they can respond I come back with "And if you complain... 'NO EGGS FOR YOU!!! GET OUT OF LINE!!!'". So instead of being known as the 'Egg Man, Coo-Coo-Ca-Chu', I'm now the 'Egg Nazi'!!!
2 Dozen today for $3.00/dz and I have orders for 3 more tomorrow. Our Gals have been working hard lately and we've been getting at least 24 big brown ones from our 30 GC's each day. People are really put out with store bought eggs and all this salmonella business. I tell 'em that organic free-range eggs are salmonella free and, oh by the way, the price is now $5.00 a dozen. I honestly think that some would pay that but in the end I'd lose all the good business I've built up for the past year or so. Almost all my eggs go to my co-workers who just can't seem to get enough.
