Don't sell them, but finally had enough to give half a dozen to my in-laws (for helping is build the pen roof), and still have enough left over for breakfast over the weekend and coffee cake today.
3 dozen yesterday and another 3 dozen this morning for $3.00/dz. I take them in to work for my co-workers and all were gone before my computer came up and online! We're just about down to the bottom of the egg inventory we built up the week we took off on vacation recently plus a couple of other nights over the past two weekends where we had about 15 dozen in the chill box. People want their eggs now and some are even 'pre-ordering' for the holidays saying they want 2 or more dozen because of baking and families coming in. It's a good time to be a chicken wrangler!!!
Has anyone noticed the price of store eggs has increased? A dozen of (Wal Mart) brown eggs has gone from $1.83 to $2.12. I always cruise by the eggs to see what the prices are.
10 dozen today,I checked wal-mart egg prices ,,and raised several lids to check the size of their eggs,,their extra large are no larger than what I consider a medium from my flock
